French lemon in an italian cookbook published in Germany

This talks of Europe today, as my dear smiling postman just gave me a heavy package shipped from München in Germany.

It is a cookbook, which I painted the cover, thanks Anja, we met via Etsy.

My camera tries to give the ugliest images each day, just have a look :

This book is delightful in person, italian recipes are so yummy, I can't wait to eat a "Focaccia" (with the little help of a german friend living in Paris)

World wide fruit

Here is a traveler :

The mango tree grows wild in the mountains of India. But it has been cultivated for 4000 years! In the early years of the 18th century, the Portuguese introduced the mango tree in Brazil. From there he came into Central America, the Caribbean and Florida.

PHO recipe

An envelope sent in 1958 from Vietnam to France inspired me to paint a PHO recipe.

In Paris, it is a long way to the asian restaurants of the "13 ème arrondissement", but this place is worth the detour.

France and french people are very sad this week, so I am happy to share this soup, full of flavour with you all over the world :

Fashion shows in the kitchen

Only fashion sketches are coming out the kitchen currently, as it is fashion season for illustrators...

I can't wait to add new paintings in the shop; in the meantime, as spring is here in Paris, we ALL want to eat the " salade Niçoise, à la terrasse des cafés " !!!

This recipe disappeared during wintertime, and the print is back in 8X10 size. We are trying to eat local in Lucile's Kitchen boutique and really HOPE tomatoes, the real ones, the good ones, will be available in our markets in the following weeks.

On a tree in Paris

My baby is not a rabbit

When I opened my Etsy shop, almost 2 years ago, I put this print up in the boutique :

I remember a lovely Etsy client, who purchased one for her husband who was only loving junk food.
This is an healthy post for kids, and their friends the rabbits, who love veggies and fruits :

Fashion shows are everywhere, Virginie has NOT any heel injury, she was in the Inn Set fashion week and saw everything, how lucky she is !!!!

PESTO

I don't know if in Italy, people are eating pasta with tomato sauce ? it's been a long time since I went to Roma and don't remember what I ate, only the smell of mimosa on Piazza Navona during market days; I was so lucky I had some years ago a friend spending one year in la Villa Medici and was invited by him in this beautiful place. French people often say that pizza, pasta and "couscous" are our favorite food, but we are cooking "à la française" and I am afraid we loose the real taste of Italy or North Africa.
Anyway, today is my pesto day :

Add roasted pine nuts, parmesan and a good olive oil to basil in the blender
