Italian cooking

Yesterday morning, on sunday, I was up early and went to the market. Nobody in my street...

Still my ugly Iphone photos ...............

Let me introduce you my ( corner ) studio :
Sorry ? Who says it is a mess ?

I am currently working on illustrations for an italian cookbook

Always having several orecchiette on my table just like a good-luck charm

This cookbook is written by Luana Belmondo, who is the french actor Jean Paul Belmondo's step-daughter; so I can't resist :

Breathless - Jean Luc Godard - Jean Seberg - Jean Paul Belmondo

One of these recipes is : "Les pommes de terre au sable". I don't know how to translate : Sandy potatoes ? Potatoes with sand ?
I was really wondering what was this recipe " with sand ! ", did potatoes grow on the beach ? so I baked it yesterday for dinner.
Great recipe, easy and tasty, you will find it here in french.

  1. That recipe looks delicious. I will try it. I would say 'Sandy Potatoes' but not everyone would want to eat them! :) How wonderful that you are illustrating a cookbook.

So nice to see your painting corner and your works in progress. I am having the hardest getting up to my studio these days. You are giving me some inspiration to climb those stairs.

  2. Wonderful to see you illustrating an Italian cookbook, fantastic. Those potatoes do look like they have sand on them, but it must just be crispy and crunchy, look yum. As ever your illustrations are so full of life, wonderful colours. Hope you enjoy doing it all!
